Jack and Doralyse first met in November 2015 when Doralyse went to Darwin for a short trip. They met at their mutual friend’s house, before they all went out together and didn’t think much of it. As the night went on they became more interested in each other and Doralyse started asking her cousin what she knew about Jack. The next night, Doralyse’s cousins took her out again, and to her surprise they had also invited Jack along, she had no idea it was a complete set up.
From that night there was no second questioning this friendship was going to blossom into something quite special.
Jack fell in love with everything about Doralyse. Her kindness towards others and how she puts everyone before herself. He also secretly loves her dance moves although he hopes Leo their son, doesn’t inherit her moves. She makes him laugh with heer funny personality and drives him crazy when she lays on his pillow, making it warm before he can. But most of all Jack loves the warmth Doralyse brings into any room she walks into and that no matter how hard the days get, she always find a way to brighten up his day.
From the first day Doralyse met Jack she felt she could be 100% herself. She fell in love with how Jack always puts her first and has the softest heart, charming good looks, and treats her, their dogs (Kevin and George) and son Leo like gold. Jack makes her laugh mimicking her, and hiding around corners to scare her (even though she already knows he is there). She loves that Jack always say ‘sorry’ first, because as most of us know Doralyse can be quite stubborn. But most importantly she continues to fall in love with the way Jack genuinely loves her.
Nearly 6 years on from the day you met and I am thrilled that Doralyse what you wrote in your journal all those years ago became a reality. You two are seriously the most amazing, loving, caring people and it was my honour to get to know you and be a part of the journey. 💕
