Josh & Nadine Wedding at Ardeena

I had the honour of marrying Josh and Nadine at Ardeena on Saturday 29th June 2019. Over the months of getting to know Josh and Nadine I learnt so much about them as individuals and also the love story they had created.

A little bit about Josh and Nadine’s story and wedding at Ardeena

What started as a swipe right certainly did grow into something quite magical and surreal for both Josh and Nadine. After texting for a couple of weeks, they officially met for a drink on April 15th, 2014 at Bavarian beer café in the city. Nadine admits to being very nervous and a bit skeptical and was even close to bailing at the last minute – but she didn’t. And thank goodness she didn’t, or we wouldn’t be here today. There was an instant connection between Josh and Nadine on their first date. Josh certainly could not take his eyes off Nadine’s beautiful eyes and smile. You know that instant chemistry, when you talk for hours as if you have known each other for years, Josh and Nadine had this.

Josh recalls before he met Nadine he was happy but he was a little lost, something was missing. With Nadine he feels like he has direction in his life. Quite literally – Nadine gives him directions anywhere they go because Josh has absolutely no sense of direction when driving. Since they first met for a drink that night their lives have changed so much. They have travelled and experienced great things together, adopted a fur child, Charlie and began to create a grounding for their future and one day own little family.

It is the little things that are the big things that they love about each other. From the silly dance moves Josh does before bed, that Nadine loves. To the cheesy jokes that aren’t always funny. But most importantly Nadine loves Josh’s intelligence and how he motivates her to learn new things, take on new challenges and experience what the world has to offer. She laughs at the time he forced her to go on a terrifying ride at Disney Sea and he actually ended up being the one to scream the whole ride and try to hold a brave face.

No matter what challenges Nadine faces in life she seems to come out on top and illustrate to Josh how strong of a person she is, which Josh adores. Josh reflected to me the time Nadine had a near death experience on the ski’s in Canada that would make most people quit, but she was determined to stick at it. Josh really admired her resilience. He also loves how Nadine seem’s to fall asleep 10 minutes into EVERY movie they put on together.

Josh loves that Nadine is so modest about her cooking when to him she is literally a Michelin star chef. Most of all, he loves that she is a simple country girl from Innisfail with a heart of gold.

I can say without a doubt you both have a heart of gold and I am so happy I was able to be a part of your day in such a significant way. I truly wish only the best for you both and look forward to seeing your family grow and hear about your next adventures together.
