Kris and Katrina Curd – Gold Coast Beach Wedding

On 29th August I had the honour to marry Kristopher and Katrina Curd at Pacific Beach Function Centre. A stunning Gold Coast beach wedding venue located in Palm Beach.

These two soul mates couldn’t be happier that they got to finally say ‘I do’ on the 29th August 2020, after having their world turn upside down earlier that month. When the government decided to close the borders a day before their original wedding date of 8th August 2020. It honestly brought so much joy to my heart that I could help them find another venue and see the happiness on their face when they became husband and wife. Let alone finding out a few months later that their dream of becoming parents became a reality.

Inside Kris and Katrina love story.

In 2013 at a mutual friend ‘around the world’ themed birthday, Kris dressed as Lebron James (as you do), was instantly attracted to Katrina who was dressed up as a greek godeous in a Greek toga. Kris couldn’t stop thinking how amazing Katrina looked and didn’t take his eye off her all night. What started as small chat lasted all night. They got on like a house on fire, one conversation lead to another and now 7 years on they are tieing the knot.

Kris fell in love with how down to earth Katrina was and the fact she became so utterly comfortable with him so quickly, even his farting. He fell in love with her happily dancing like an idiot whilst listening to music causally doing housework. Not embarrassed in anyway as she is simply her, fun loving and down to earth.

Kris fell in love with how Katrina can truly let her guard down and isn’t afraid of what others think of her. Her one-liners and how she is quick to point out something crude/rude that she sees; makes him laugh a lot. Katrina is also a super indecisive person – which Kris finds adorable and funny. It doesn’t matter where they go for food, even if they have been there multiple times before, she will still ask him what does she feel like to eat today!

Kris loves how ridiculously thoughtful Katrina is with EVERYTHING. Even though he secretly can’t stand it! Katrina is always thinking about ways she can make someone’s day, or how it would be really nice for someone else if she did this or that for them. Not to mention the thoughtful things she does for Kris each week.

Katrina fell in love with Kris calming and bubbly personality and how he always manage to make her laugh and smile; even when she doesn’t want to. She could be in the worst mood from work or mad at him for not doing something, and within minutes Kris somehow manage to snap her out of her mood and make her feel instantly happy.

Katrina finds Kris always so much fun to be around and he never takes life too seriously (in a good way). She loves that he is her personal ibis – never letting food go to waste. Kris will literally eagerly wait to see if she is going to leave anything on her plate and before he takes her last scrap, Kris will literally squawk like a bird.

Katrina loves how Kris is so caring and family orientated. She loves watching how amazing he is with their nieces and nephews and his friend’s children; she finds him certainly a natural. I can honestly say Katrina you are also a natural, you held my son Alfie with so much care and grace. I am thrilled to know you are both becoming parents. You will be incredible!
